Back in P.A., truck should be ready on Friday looking forward to getting it. Truck will be running a stage 4, have a nice fuel system in it,( sump, airdog150, and a Weldon 2032a high pressure pump), the dual high pressure oil system. The truck took a little longer, had Andy look over the tranny , changing out the converter from the DCP, to a PI, and changed the stall to 1800. He also went and changed out the wiring harness, and upgraded all the internals to billet. I will let the members know how it works out, when I get truck back to M.S. I will be changing out the intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds, and if time permits, add a nitrous system to it.

What stall convertor was in it before?

What he said. I'm planning on a 1600 stall when I build mine in the next couple months

1600 can be very fun in a 6.0 with anything the size of a power max or smaller. The only disadvantage is it will lug the motor pretty hard when it's cold weather. Sean O'Hara and myself tested this about a year and a half ago. He had a lot of good & bad feedback on the situation

I usually let mine warm up when its cold. Are you talking about until it was fully warmed up?

So would you go with a 1800 stall for like the 68mm powermax or MTW stage 3?

Ok, so here's what I learned and it applies to my set up. The 1800 stall I went to was too tight for the stage 4 and the bigger injectors. Andy took the truck out for a spin and said it lugged a lot and the injectors would get under the turbo. The truck also blew apart the 1800 DPC converter when it shifted into overdrive. He changed the converter to a sun coast 2000 stall and it hit just about right, a 2100-2200 would be perfect, but I need the truck so the 2000 will stay untill I can get around to changing it. Andy built me a wicked tranny, all billet, 6.4 conversion and mixed red eagle clutches with the new raybesto clutches. The sun coast convert is a 13" not the 12" of the DPC. The truck is a beast and worked with Jesse to get a nice tune. The truck is a little smokey for my taste, but I believe that the ported intake and adjusting the fuel pressure will get it in good. I also have some new stage 4 wheels coming so that will also help.

I totally agree with Jared @ RCD about the smaller VGT , and seems that the large vgt needs little more stall with the injectors I have. The stage 3 with 190/100 run great without a bigger stall, but not the case with the stage 4 and the 225/75 injectors. I also want to thank RCD for the items I bought from them, the black diamond head gaskets that have held up to 55psi-60psi , no o-ring just gaskets of boost, and the billet pushrods.

I would also like to thank Jesse for the help and the dual HPOP kit, at WOT it holds 4.8 of ICP voltage and no drop.

The truck is quick and nasty, I will be getting some track times, and if I can dyno numbers as soon as I can. I don't have a clue on the track numbers, except that it will be in the 12's. I will say one thing the Detroit locker front and rear, traction bars and now the tranny lock the truck to the ground hard.

Will keep you all posted and will be getting some video of the truck running.

I heard you put down some great numbers, better watch that tranny. Bummer that the event is not on, I was planning on switching out the wheel with you to the newer one. I was also planning on taking the truck down the 1/4 track and then getting dyno numbers on Saturday. Oh well just my luck when it comes to getting number, they have test and tune on Thursday night at the 1/4 track so if weather is nice I will take the truck locally for some track times.

Thanks, I couldn't figure out why it would take so long for builds. Used to build mustangs, and was easy compaired to these trucks. Once you get it done it's not, but I know that it is a lot more fun then the gassers, just somthing about making a truck move that fast.

The truck was putting down some good numbers. I've got some nasty axle wrap so traction bars are next then the trans. The event has been postponed till July 19 & 20. Are talking about the new turbine wheel? Or is there something else the mad scientist has come up with???
