Is it simple to take a pair of these, put them on an XL model(no fogs), and hook them up to an uplifter switch? Obviously I'd need the little plastic housings for the lights, but easy to wire them up to an uplifter switch?

Should be fairly simple install. Just power and ground wires.

i did this to my amber duallys. they are hooked up to #3 switch in my truck (i think its the 15A). all I did was cut the harness it came w/ to the length I needed. I ran the HOT to the upfitter switch I intended to use, and then I just tapped a hole, and grounded them near the fog itself. havent had one issue and they stay one always.

How bright are the 2x2? Could I use one for a headlight? Obviously it wouldn't be DOT legal but I don't have many other options.

Garrett

probably getting paid at work to post this from my POS phone

They are defiantly bright enough to light up whatever is in front of ya lol Now as far as being legal.....I can't comment on that one! Lol let me know if you wanna get some ordered!

make sure you get a spot, or combo light if you are going to be using them for driving. now they wont be legal, but thats because DOT demands that the headlamp have both a High and a Low setting.

I really like the one I have on the front of my Excursion. I mounted them behind the grille and welded a piece of angle iron in between the bumper mounts. Cannot remember what exact brand but they look just like what you are selling.
Is the prices that you listed per light or per pair?
