Is that uncommon in other branches? When I was @ Barksdale, Sheppard, Gulfport and so on we PT'ed daily. Not necessarily the same work out every day other than the running but we still PT'ed daily, and I mean all branches ( at different hours ) did the same. Maybe it was just the bases I was on .

All the bases I have been stationed at the squadron was the one that set the PT standards. For instance at Charleston we don't do PT at all in my squadron, unless you fail your PT test, in which case you get sent to the Fat Kid Program and do it 4 times a week. The same for Altus, Pensacola, and McChord... That's flying squadrons though, and we generally get away with pretty much everything. The last time we had to do a Commanders Fun Run 5K, I think my whole squadron puked lol

Gotcha, not sure one the Airdale side of it. We were all either combat engineers or medics, but a lot of it was joint forces and team workouts. We followed base CO rules but on PT it was our rules for us. We had a "fat kid camp" too, but it didn't so much have to do with falling out on PT as it did going over on BMI. You could score all with in accepted ranges on every exercise but if you were over on BMI you failed.
