I had a 6.4 pump feeding a stock 6.0 hfcm, both with new pumps and a regulated return and they would not keep up with my 205/100's, droped to like 20psi. Iirc they wouldn't hold with my stockers either. I now have a 6.7 pump and it doesn't skip a beat or drop any pressure. Half inch feed lines...
I have a 6.7 pump on mine. Had it for about 4-5 months now and have had no problems. Hold's pressure extremely well with my 205/100's too. I plan on getting rid of the fuel bowl and adding a finer micron filter after the pump, run it to a Y, then to the heads while I have the engine out.
Talked to the guys from UCF this morning and he's sending me a couple boxes they have to ship my heads in. Very knowledgeable guys. Now just the waiting game.
Yeah I knew about UCF. Im going to call them tomorrow and see what it going to take to get them up to PA. Shipping will be crazy Im sure, but it's worth it. And I agree with you, o-ringed heads are the bee's knees from what all I've read.
Im not doubting the guy one bit. I'd just personally like to have them for peace of mind. Power wise Im hoping to be in the mid 600's on fuel then add spray later on.
Got him on the phone but he says he only recommends it for racing applications. But I know many people use the o-rings for dd's. Any other suggestions?
Does anyone know of a reliable machine shop around the Ft worth or Waco area? I'm looking to get a set of heads cleaned up and have the works done, and to get o-ringed.
Ok so I found a crack on number 5 in the injector wall. So Im gona opt for the UFC heads with the o-rings. Question now is, do i stay with my H-11 studs? Or go ahead and go all out funds providing and get the custom aged arps?
