Nice guess it never hurts to call and double check cause when i looked it up on line none of the deals around me had it in stock and there was a side note saying ford didn't make it any more or something like that- BigJDW

well I've got a new one on the way... I gotta replace my original tank one way or another so i hope the the later model tank will work cause i cant find any new obs tanks and i really dont want a used one- BigJDW

The needles pull strait off with a little bit of force. With the black plastic pieces i used a couple small drops of glue to hold the ones that wouldn't restick. When you do pull that black piece off try only to only scrape off behind the gauges if you scrape to much of the black the light will...- BigJDW

Actually now that I think about it, it doesn't just make sure its the same temp when you take it off as when you put it back on. The cover pieces that you take off and scrape the green off of come off in four separate sections. I haven't done the temp and oil section yet, that's why its still green.- BigJDW

This works for temp volt and oil, the speedo and tach both go to zero when the key on engine off, and the fuel is easiest to wait till one of your tanks are full or empty.- BigJDW

I had to take it apart and scrape the green off the back of the gauges. Its kinda a pain to get the needles back in the right place (that's why my volt meter is so high) but not impossible- BigJDW
