New 2015 Ford Superduty 6.7 Updates

They have brought back the tow boss package under the 535 high capacity tow package. It has the wide track front axle, 4.30 rear end, and increased gcwr to 35,000. I ordered mine with that package.

New 2015 Ford Superduty 6.7 Updates

Probably, I didn't even get a notice, I was just told by my dealer rep. My truck was produced on the last week of March, so it fits.

New 2015 Ford Superduty 6.7 Updates

So, I just got told that there's some sort of recall/part issue on my truck. Needless to say, I'm a bit saddened by this turn of events.

If I understand it correctly, the exhaust brake relies on the turbo to pressurize the cylinder and keeps the exhaust valves closed in order to build back pressure, so technically the turbo works indirectly to create the braking effect. I could be wrong though, I'm no expert on this.

Lacking is an understatement. The new turbo makes a big difference exhaust brake-wise; even with just tow/haul mode engaged, the exhaust can activate on the '15 and it gets a bit more aggressive with the button turned on.

Ford has supposedly had an exhaust brake since '11 but it worked in tow/haul mode automatically. They added the button to the '15.

    Hello. West Tex here

Hello. I'm from as far west as you can get in Texas. I just got a '15 F350 SD CCLB dually with the 6.7 Gen2 Scorpion. I use it for a gooseneck trailer to haul for work. So far I've changed the lights to LED and put on black rims. I'm in the process of putting on a ranchhand bumper and winches...
