3.55 is alot of gear for a 4 spd trans but I ran them in my 97 and still towed with it. If you do alot of interstate driving it will definitely help you out. Drag racing I think it will probably hurt you some Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

Forgot to add I swapped the engine harness with his 2000 and no change, 2000 runs fine with the harness that was on this engine when it happened. I'm beginning to think a can full of gas and a hand full of matches lol.
