    Rear-end swap questions

Just swap the axle over put new dif fluid in it and run it. I wouldnt touch the pinion seal unless you had to since if you do the crush sleeve needs to be replaced. At that point the entire dif is going to need to be checked and possibly readjusted, and at that point you could have just swapped...

Is a 1"- 1 1/2" body lift too much to ask?

My truck has bone stock cac pipes. The radiator shroud had to be cut, and the upper rad hose had to be modified. It has a three inch body lift and its been that way for over 70k miles. Buying a body lift and cutting them in half would be the way to go IMO.

    HID bulbs

I had a DDM kit on my GTO. After a month of not receiving them, I called to find out what was going on. They told me then that they couldn't ship to a P.O box. No problem, gave them my address and my HIDs arrived a few days later. I didn't have any problems with them myself, their customer...

    Dash Swap

I have done it, and it didn't seem that bad. A few hidden screws had me scratching my head, like the ones holding the defrost vent behind the actual vent, but it was pretty quick process. After working on the 6L for high pressure oil issues, and an oil cooler replacement, nothing seems...

    Dash Swap

What stopped me from trying was the gauge cluster. CAN isn't compatible, so the cluster is out. The older cluster doesn't seem like it would fit correctly, so the only way to really make it work would be to modify the dash to accommodate the original cluster, or autometer custom gauges. Maybe...

coolant flush before oil cooler replacement?

Your a qt short of VC-9, you need 2. Also depending on which oil cooler kit you got, make sure it has turbo o-rings and gasket. Also might want to get fuel bowl o-rings. Make sure the intake manifold gaskets go on the same way they come off. Any other way can leak. Like stated earlier, no...

    paint advice

Thought about this after I posted last night, and figured I could have added more, so.... Your going to want to practice first. Just get a piece of sheet metal and spray it out. When spraying, there is a fine line between dry spray, good, and flooding/runners. You don't want dry spray or...

    paint advice

PREP! PREP! MFin PREP! and also read the labels on the materials you are using. Cleanliness is next to godliness. Get the body work finished first, assuming its done correctly and has been feather-edged.... To paint: Remove anything you can easily remove that you don't want paint on. The...

Has anyone painted plastic parts on seats?

If I was to paint it, I would use this stuff. http://www.bryndana.com/ Basically Scuff with scotchbrite, acetone, adhesion promoter, color. Stuff seems tough on what I have used it on so far.

    Interior section

Maybe add an interior section? It would make finding things related to interior only easier to search for, and an easy place to ask just interior questions.
