i built my mounts so they would utilize the factory ford motor mounts i couldnt find anything that i would be happy with putting in my truck in the aftermarket world so built my own instead there really straight forward- Uncle_jesse

fitting the super duty innercooler was the worst part for me that and taking the old motor out and cleaning the engine bay out :D... the rest was very straight forward .. if i were to doit it again i would have maybe gone through my parts list with a fine tooth comb i found that i was rushing to...- Uncle_jesse

yea sorry the pics are kinda crappy i used 3/8x4" flatbar for the mount plate to the motor and and then used 3x2x1/4 angle iron for the tab parts of the mount .. when i built them all i did was bolt just the 3/8 flatbar plates to the motor first and then put the motor in the truck and got it...- Uncle_jesse

I built my own mounts and utilized the factory ford motor mounts it was Easyer then I expected and I was able to drop the motor quite low down and haven't had any clearance issues I know fordcummins offers motor mounts but I haven't found any that use the ford mount- Uncle_jesse

Which trans is easy for a cummins swap?
the only reason some people modify the shafts is if your looking to use the stock cummins rad fan and you have to move the trans back 2 1/2 " .. i didnt move mine back i wanted to steer clear of having custom shafts its abit tight to the rad but electrics should work- Uncle_jesse
