01 350 start then no start

Got a buddy with a 01f350 7.3. One min it will start up and then next time it crank crank crank and u can watch the TAC start to come up then it finally fires. Any ideals?? Was thinking maybe bad cam sensor? But not sure.

Replaced the cam sensor. And still same thing. And no it Doesn't smoke

Check the fuel bowl to make sure it is filling up with fuel. Also, run a buzz test on the injectors.
