02 excursion turbo ?s

Hey yall I have a buddy with an 02 excursion that needs a stock replacement turbo. He said it has an external wastegate, and Im not a 7.3 guy so Im not sure if he needs a wastegated turbo to replace it with or not.

Anyone got anything for me?

I've got a van turbo that will bolt up directly for 275 shipped. You just need the exhaust asap from beans for it. The adapter runs 125 from beans. Van turbo has bigger exhaust housing lower egt and better top end

is it a stock 7.3 turbo? im trying to keep the same turbo bcs he just got a DP tuner in the truck and Id hate for him to have to get it reburnt already

It is a stock van turbo. He wouldnt need to change his tuning if he got the van turbo. Just make sure he gets the exhaust adapter.

If he were to go with a NON-wastegated van turbo, would he need to do any other mods besides the adapter from beans? I just want to make sure he isnt gonna run into problems with out a wastegate
