No, heads weren't cracked and came back good. But the truck has now been there since April 30th. Just keeps getting pushed back.
Today I got a call that the gaskets RCD sent me arent correct. So a new set were sourced apparently. Basically just getting frustrated I was told a week turnaround and now it's been in the works for over three weeks.
Frustration is more the term then Cluster ***. I still just don't understand how the gaskets are Incorrect. They are blue 6.0 18mm.
I need the thing back for work, it's killing me being down a truck.

Your not lieing! When my heads were getting done D.I. had my truck for 2.5mos!

Mine was down for a while, but I had to get a pair of heads :slap:
Big difference with a work truck in the shop vs a personal truck, hope you get it back soon.

Did they find any bad valves, guides, or seals?
Just curious, because I think it would be nice to hear what valve work to expect to be needed at different mileages when heads come off.

My truck has somewhere around 105k on it, and I believe the heads checked out fine.
The invoice I received doesn't show anything more than a cleaning an X-ray to check them.

Should have the heads decked. Dumb not to and with 105k I'm sure there are some worn valve guides.

When mine was at mass diesel for studs he found my heads were all cracked. Had 113k on the truck with 20k being race tuned daily driving. Had to buy 2 new heads.

I think I would have scrapped the truck if it needed heads. Another $1800? No thanks.
This whole deal is already costing me 5k round trip. I wouldn't spend 7k on a truck worth 15k.

Lol thanks man! It runs great. Only running a 65hp canned tune to try and get it broken in right now. Going to load up some custom RCD stuff later this week.
