well I am back in Africa, had a great time with the truck for the last three weeks, still fighting the surging/bucking which is really starting to frustrate the sh!t out of me, one way or another it will be figured out on my next trip home, brakes and the PMF short arm kit also need to go on and may 1st its being dropped off to get the battrys relocated and some of the wiring cleaned up then it's getting a different degas bottle and different windshield wiper resevoir and possibly a trutrack for the rear.

Those red tops will tuck up inside the frame as well instead of hanging down and in the open.

Good luck with your optimas. Mine yellow tops only lasted 6 months before I had to jump the truck off Everytime I started it. Went back to acid filled batteries and have had much better luck. Optimas aren't made by the same company anymore from what my battery guy told me.

the air filter will be getting changed out in july when i get home, probably something like what Eric's running on his truck.

They hang lower than I would have liked but the truck will never be offroad so it doesn't matter.

I allready had the optimas and mount when you told me your experience in another thread.

I have a few plans for the future, for now I have a moroso tank that is made to fit in where battery's do that I am going to use for a windshield washer reservoir so I can fit a new filter set up.

Well finally got home and got some more work done on the truck, installed the willwood front brakes and all I have to say is holy sh!t do these things make a big difference, worth every penny.

Made my own intake so I could fit a 5X12 AFE filter with help from BigR and then tackled the Midwest duel fueled kit, install went fine with just some minor adjustments on the fuel lines to clear MPDs race manifolds. Then came the hot pipe between the two turbos, this is when I came to respect the skills of the fabricators out their a whole lot more, what a pain in the ass to get things lined up tight and perfect. It will get a new pipe made when I have time but for now the heat wrap hides my mess pretty well.
Right now I am having issues with the charging system, it seems to only start charging when voltage drops to 11.5 then it cuts back out a few seconds later. The guys that moved the batteries put a 200 amp breaker on the power cable to the starter and alternator and that keeps blowing as well. The air dog seems to be getting very hot also, not sure if that is normal or not.

I'll get some pictures up soon.

Damn, are the brakes more like a car now? as in you barely touch them and it stops almost instantly and if you hit them like before you can send the passenger into the windshield?
