Hey guys just finished installing two 10in kicker comp subs with a custom box I built. I chose to build the box as I could make it the max amount of cubes within the space given. I retained the factory navigation and used a line out converter off of the midrange speakers for the signal. If you have any questions, ill try to help out.

I vote for a how to thread!

haha, my buddy wants me to build him one too so I might be able to do a small how too thread. I have all the dimensions, if people are interested.

Looks good man

Thanks man

Very nice work brother!
How does it sound?

Charles

Sounds really good. I was surprised since I know trucks do not sound nearly as good as cars. The subs are actually under powered by 200 watts a piece, I just used an old amp I had.

Wow that looks awesome! May have to do a little something myself similar! Appreciate the dimensions. Stock hits good but I could use a little cleaner more powerful bass sometimes

I am looking to upgrade the system in my 2010 250 CC as well. I bought some used subs and amp online from a guy that upgraded his truck and no longer fit. Was going to build custom box. I want to keep my factory unit and know I need a line out converter but had a few questions. Would a standard one be better or will the PAC AOEM-FRD24 be best. I see it plugs into factory harness but where? at the stereo or at the plug where OEM sub was. Do you have aftermarket radio or did you use a converter?

Sorry for the late reply,

I used the a standard line out converter, my truck came with navigation and the factory amped door speakers along with the amped sub. I took the wires from the factory door speaker amp from under the driver side dash and hooked the line out converter from there, if you don't have a factory door speaker amp then you just go off from behind the radio wires. If you go off the poem sub wires your bass will not be clear as the head unit limits it to 40 herts.

I plan on installing the new passive crossovers. Does the stock trucks have them and where are they located? It looks like I have 4 tweeters in the truck.

According to the wiring diagram our trucks so not have a passive crossover, the tweeters are T'ed into the midrange speakers. I have not pulled a door panel to confirm.

looks good. nice clean box... i like clean box.

live life full throttle

Thank you
