I've got the opportunity to pick up a ECSB f250 w/ 202k for $2800.

It has a bunch of new parts (water pump, alternator, front end rebuilt, Hpop are all less than a year old) but needs a front seal and probably freshen up the trans as the owner said the fluid has been drained out of it for about 6 months.

Cosmetically the truck is in decent shape, no major dents or dings, interior is straight minus a good deep cleaning.

For the miles and condition $2800 seems like a hell of a steal to me? But I'm not sure what's all involved with a front seal replacement.

What do y'all say?

If I remember correctly, it's essentially the steps to replace the LPOP. Remove harmonic balancer, R&R the LPOP. When I installed my Melling M208 LPOP, the new housing had a new seal in it. You might consider just purchasing the Melling pump with the miles on e truck.
