2001 trany issue

Just bought a lifted 01 7.3 auto the guy I got the truck from had the trany rebuilt 6 months ago by local little shop and it went 100 miles before acting up. The owner was done parked the truck prity much washed his hands on it so I picked it up for good price now just trying to figure out tranny issue. When you start the truck the speedo goes up even in park then Goes down and it seems almost like has a stall converter witch it does not real sluggish the. Goes and the the over drive light flashes on and off and it kicks the service engine light on if you get on the throttle hard it throws the light and won't shift out of that gear any ideas

No ideas without the codes. The places that read codes free CANNOT read these codes. You need either a good independent shop or a Ford dealer.

Ok so guessing a programmer won't be able to read them either needs to be ford tech

Some programmers will read them. I don't know which ones will and which ones won't. Many independent shops can read them. When I owned a shop I had a scan tool that would read Ford transmission codes.
