2004 Power Locks not working

2004 Superduty. All were working fine on Thursday, on Friday none work?

I can hear the Relay(I assume that's what it is) under the Dash is making noise when the lock/unlock button is pushed, Remote also. So I know the Signal is getting to the unit.

Has this happened to anyone? I can understand one actuator going out, but all of them?

I checked the fuse, it was good....if I was on the right fuse.

Any Ideas? I'm going to pull the door Panel apart this week and check for voltage to the actuator.

Thanks in advance.

Likely it's the actuators - it is common for them to get weak and trip the "overload" resulting in the failure, It's a safty to save the motors - I believe there is a trick to fool them but it would be best to replace tham.

I had one awhile back that had some greenery going on in the lower kick plate, about where the b pillar is on the LHS. Three wires joined together and they weren't sealed very well.

OK Still needing a Little help.

I pulled the door panel on the drivers side, checked the wires going to the actuator.... nothing..... cut the wires going to the actuator bypassed power to them, they worked.

Spent the rest of the day looking for broken/corroded wires with no luck. I'm down to thinking it is the VSM.

This problem is driving me crazy, I can hear the VSM clicking, but can't find the stupid thing. I've got the dash taken all apart, can hear it clicking, just can't find it!

Any Help?

OK I think my vsm is bad.....If I found one out of a wrecked truck with the Key Fobs, would I still have to have it reprogrammed at the dealer?

I'm 90% sure you do, but not 100% sure. Does that help? LOL

Ordered a new VSM should be here this week, If I replace the VSM in the truck will I be able to drive it to the Dealer or should I leave the old one in until I get there?

Well I changed the VSM....No luck. I'm at my wits end with this POS.

Does anyone have any Ideas?

I pulled the door apart, found the 2 wires going to the electric lock, put power to them and they work, so its not a bad unit...or all 4 for that matter.....I'm getting pissed and ready to light this thing on fire.

I had an 04 awhile back that had a bad splice under the carpet, if I remember it was between the front and rear doors in the sill plate.

I will have a look at the diagrams when I get home. PM me your vin so I know the configuration of the truck.
