Why not just park it for a while? I mean put it in storage mode and drop insurance temporarily? Check around on the insurance I bet you can get some decent Parked insurance for cheep

with sr22 insurance you must maintain insurance on a vehicle for 1 yr

Check with geico I have a 2012 and a current 1 yr suspension. Over 30 pts and full coverage on a RV and truck. That's ridiculous.

Yeah, I had SR22 with full coverage on multiple trucks, never paid over 225$ a month, these were all usually trucks that were only a year or two old as well. That was 5 years ago.

If its financed he may be required to maintain insurance regardless of licensing.

Op what is sr22 insurance?

SR22 is a type of special insurance, its not cheep. But if you own 2 cars you can put a vehicle under "parked" insurance which can count as full coverage.

So Ive got a truck that a financed that I'm getting ready to start a build on ...I could change it to a 'parked' policy to avoid unnecessary collision coverage? Would a lender find that acceptable?
