I'm picking up a 09 s5 with 17k miles. I love the way bmw's look but the interior is kinda dissapointing.

I feel the same way about the bmw. The 4.2 likes oil just so you know. Modding will get expensive fast. Makes a 6.4 look cheap. I would have tried to swing a newer one with the sc v6. Can make close to RS5 hp for about 4 grand and maintain factory warranty.

I'm not worried about modding this to make it fast. I'm just buying it to drive and, and am going to pick up a 3rd party warranty once the factory one runs out.

Liek said above it has the 4.2L V8. It has a few cosmetic mods and an intake/exhaust. Other than that I plan on keeping it stock. I really wanted the v8 sound over the v6, plus the v6 models were out of my price range.

I really wanted a 2012/13 jeep grand cherokee srt8 but couldn't swing 60-70k

Lol you were afraid of powerstroke costs and you are going to buy an audi? :X ....

i'm selling my truck because I'm moving to the city and will need to fit in parking garages.

I'm hoping without the cost of mods the audi will actually be cheaper than the truck. We will see I guess

I am talking about a 15k-20K car so I can live with interior. If you buy a 40-50k car you wont oark it in that parking garage or on the street at college unless you want lots of door dings. Regardless, all high HP ventures cost more money to operate, mod and maintain.

I def like the newer Audi's, but I can't justify a beater, my truck, 40-50k sports car and a Harley even without a wifey that I have to get approval from. LOL

FWIW I am going to take a close look at a new S5 this weekend, and figure out what it will be with the Stasis package (410hp). The wife is excited.

they're nice, I like the new headlights and steering wheel. The stasis package is a nice set up too and it's cool you can do that and keep the warranty. Let me know how it goes!

Oh I wasn't aware that was the price range for that car. Yea i'm hoping people in dental school have a little more respect for other peoples vehicles, but I'm stubborn and like to have nice things so I'm gonna get it and see how it goes I guess. I thought about keeping the truck and getting a beater, but there would be no point letting the truck sit for 4 years, might as well get something I can use/enjoy.

Took out the S5 3.0t and it is a fantastic car. Very confidence inspiring. The joys of AWD. It will be coming home next week I think.

The Audi awd is only 20/80 awd iirc, my buddy who is a head mechanic at Audi says he would never buy a new one. Good luck with your car, hopefully the previous owner followed the maintenance schedule to a T. Them cars like oil as previously said and have been known to spin bearings before break in.

I'm pretty sure it's 40/60. And just like any other brand there are good ones and bad ones. I love people who come on the internet and talk down about certain cars with no personal experience quoting their buddy.

I use to have an A4 and I loved it.
I miss that car a lot. Only downside to it was crappy fuel mileage due to it being a v6 and awd.
It was a blast to drive. I am sure the S4 will be badass.
Post some pics of the new ride when it arrives.

This car is brand new. Delivery miles only so I'm not too worried about the previous owner. The torque split is not fixed when the sport center diff is installed.

Sorry about trying to give you a heads up. Guess I'm the douche bag here

True, beautiful car for sure, thankfully the Audi customer service is on point. They will take care of you. Just sell it before the warranty is up!

I just don't think you realize how many people have told me about other peoples experiences and not their own. Gets kinda old.
