2008 6.4 no start but has power

I'm looking at buying a 2008 6.4 in really good shape for cheap because the guy says with a new battery he can get it to turn over but not start, by using the starter wire under the hood I believe? Owned plenty of 7.3's but I know nothing about these 6.4. Any insight would be great thanks!

That could be as simple as a, fuse or cam position sensor to $$$$$$$....$$$$ and piles of time just to get it running to find out what the shape of the engine is.

I'd either walk away or knock 10K+ off the price cause you just don't know what your getting into ....

Will it not crank from the ignition, or will it crank and not start? Need a littl more info, but i agree, could be as simple as $50 or as chitty as $10k
