2001 chevy 5.3 with 4l60, 3000 miles on both. into one of these, probably do a mild 224/224 cam headers ect, with a mustang II front end

not really sure how the body on the newer frame is going to work, the plan is to keep everything as unmolested as possible in case i have to put the engine trans and axles under the original frame (which really dont want to do) but i have faith that its plenty strong if it came down to that, i just think that the axle brackets ect might be a ***in pain to deal with

I think when I looked into it also, the lengths were either 4 or 7 Inches difference

Seen it done twice with 7.3 and superduty frames in those years. It can be done for sure.

I measured and it's not too far off but I have no issues cutting the frame if I have to.
