Has anyone swapped a newer jump seat with integrated seat belt into an older truck? I have one coming for my 05 from a 2011...just wondering if anyone has pictures or info on the swap. I have captains chairs now and know I need to take the arm rests off but are any other mods necessary?

So the install went pretty easy, had to use a sawzall for the pins on the insides of each captains chair. Also used fender washers and a 1/4 piece of flat steel, 20" long and drilled holes in it to secure from side to side on the underside of the truck. 7/16 x 1 1/4 grade 8 bolts and drilled 4 holed. All in all about an hour and one cold beverage. Turned out pretty good.

I've been wanting to do this to mine so we can get 1 more person in the truck . Can you fit 3 people up front comfortably with that set up ?

yeah it worked great! both my 8 year old and my wife have ridden there this week and both said it was great. I did use a 1/2" spacer under the front bolts to get the right recline so it wasn't straight up and down. I went with the new style seat specifically to get the shoulder harness seatbelt for my little one
