Notice what I did with the leftover bracket in the rear that was held by the stud and a wire clipped to that. I reused a factory bolt and used the same nut to fasten it to the bracket. This left plenty of stud to reclip my wires to. No dangling wires. Egr wires and vacuum line are tied to the left.

Well I would say it has to help. Because there is no restriction in the pipe for one. Two you are replacing a plastic pipe with a new steel pipe. No chance of blowing out. Also that is not bad to do. I had more time getting the factory boot off in order to reuse it on the new one. One clamp has to be spliced with a wiz wheel. It's crimped from factory. Then just start lining everything up.

Well I won't lie. I probably spent about 6 hours just on egr process alone. I did alot of neatenig along the way. There are alot of ties and holders removed with the stock parts. So I choose to remove factory clips from egr hoses and replace them back where they were needed after delete. I can't stand wires and hoses hanging. By the way takes close to an hour just to drain antifreeze out of both radiators.

Looks like I'll devote an entire saturday incase something comes up. I've never done an EGR delete before so this is going to be a learning process for sure.

Took care of the DPF today, looks like the EGR will have to wait a few days.

its not TOO bad .. most seem to take 3-4 hours, taking their time and doing it right. personally, I would spray all the bolts you plan to pull with break free a few times over night before you actually do the job. more miles on the motor seem to be tougher to pull and the more brittle the hardware becomes.

I'd recommend spraying down the manifold bolts the day before then as soon as you get home from driving it break them loose. It'll be much easier when warm than on a cold engine

I would definitely reserve a whole day doing it your first time. I've done lots of 6.4s and 6.0s and this one is totally different. Not hard, but different. It almost looks tacky once removed because there is so much junk hanging. You spend more time neating up things. Also there is no room on backside to get your hands to the nut on the stud. so a long extension and a 10 mm Crowfoot is your best friend. Lots of hoses and clips to be removed concerning egr. And best way to remove lower one on radiator is to simply remove radiator hose above it and it's right there. I also reused all factory clamps and clips to hold stock components that are reused. Couldn't stand to look at it and tell that something is obviously gone! Oh and those coolant drain cocks are horrible to get your fingers on. Draining the coolant was actually a little work.

Also not to scare anyone. But there are no instructions with any of the parts. So I downloaded the h&s egr instructions and the same for the h&s motorsports intercooler just to read over. You will find these are a major help.

Well. Truck was picked up today. My buddy was very happy with the changes made. I figured I'd finish the thread with a few pics of the completion.
Here is one of the 5" flo pro no muffler exhaust system. Fit was perfect.

Yea I will honestly say I think they have made a few changes. The kits with the Accuseal clamps seem to fit much better than the older styles. I have done quite a few!

That's crazy. I guess it's possible. Out of 30 I had one didn't fit. It was a 5" turbo back for a 2002 f250 7.3.
It was absolutely terrIble. they sent 2 kits before I got it resolved. Winded up having parts for 2 different years.
