Not at all! Just makes me happy these trucks have like ZERO depreciation.

I'm used to sports cars, where one mod means terrible resale, on top of the atrocious natural depreciation. Honestly besides the 10k you lose just from driving off the lot, plus 10% for mods, these trucks don't do bad on resale compared to the gas powered world. But that's just my opinion, 50k for a truck that was 60k new is awesome to me.

Figuring input costs I'm probably closer to 20%

The depreciation on these is pretty pathetic compared to GMC's for example, but not as bad as RAM

I don't understand why everyone loves GM and Dodge 3/4ton and up platforms... It's the one thing that still pisses me off about my '08 Cummins, is its the same as a freaking 1500...

This! Honestly, Ford is one of the most expensive to purchase and they don't seem to hold their value like the GMC/Chevys and Dodge/Rams. The trade values are terrible. I don't know if it's because of the numbers produced/demand or what.

Bought a new car with 81k MSRP 4yrs ago. Sold it a week ago for 41k with 22k miles basically mint condition. That's depreciation.

Rams don't hold value at all. Unless your trading it in for another ram.

GM's have value because there are so few used ones in circulation. So they bring a premium.

There are a ton of new fords sold everyday. So therefore the resale takes a hit off the bat. I think the two-three year old retail on these trucks is great.

Hell I traded my 15 with 23k on it for another 15 new for $7k difference out the door. And being that the sticker on the new truck was $3k more than the one I traded in, I can't see how it could be any better.

I can do you one better: 98k new, 35k sold, and that was a good deal, lol.
