What does it take to get 2016 OEM 20" wheels to fit on a 2004?

Bolt patterns are both 8x170, are the hubs or studs different?

The new wheel mounts fine but the axles are wider on the new trucks, so the wheels have approx 1.6" less offset. A 2" spacer brings it back out on the pre 05 trucks.

That's what I though.

Sold my '16 wheels to a lady with a '04 f250 and she said the wheels were 3/4" too small? I don't get it and don't really understand what she's saying.

They bolt up absolutely fine. The only difference is the axle width which was already stated. Did you sell her lugs also? If she is switching from steel wheels or something, her lugs wont work with aluminum wheels. Judging by her sentence structure and spelling, I wouldn't do a whole lot without pictures from her that clearly illustrate the issue.
