I purchased a set of 2022 Lariat black and machined take off wheels. I went to put them on my 2022 F250 Platinum last night and the rear caps that came with the wheels would not fit over my rear hub. I had to reuse my platinum wheel center caps to fit and they stick out 1-2" more than the others.. Does anyone know the difference? I am not sure what engine or anything the new ones came off of.

I can't remember specifically, but there are 2 different stud lengths, and I think the difference is whether the truck had alloy or steel wheels.

After further research, I have found Ford shifted in 2022 to where all 6.7's got the Dana 2.75 and gas motor trucks had to be ordered with 4.30 gears before they got the Dana 2.75, otherwise they got the Sterling 10.5.

From 17 and up, all 350 single wheel trucks got the Dana with the bigger rear hub that requires a different cap, all 250s have the sterling 10.5 unless ordered with the different towing package then it comes with the Dana. You can take wheels and hubs from a 350 srw and put them on a 250 with a sterling but not vice versa.
