Its a 4 position chip actually, and it is a Van Aaken chip.

My bad. I guess I fat fingered the 3 in there. Is it worth having, or should he throw it away and get something else?

There are several vendors that used to use them, so it depends on what programs are on it. Van Aaken has been out of business for a while now so whatever the programs are, are probably dated.

I know Swamps has a burner and can reprogram them, I had the do one for me. I'm not sure on who else does though
