Has anyone done this?
I know Nittos typically run a little narrow compared to others, but the 35x12.5 Ridge Grappler comes in a 12 ply but I'd rather keep a 10 like the 13.50 width comes in.

It's a '15 250 with stock platinum 20s

Thanks in advance.

Ive ran several sets of 12.5s on my stock wheels including my 2017 I have now. I can't see the 13.5 being a issue at all. Speaking of the 12ply ridge grappler I just got mine in and mounted on some 22x11's. I hope they turn out to be a good tire.

Why? That load range is perfect for a 1 ton that tows. It is the same as a stock 10 ply 80 psi tire just in a 35. I have them and love them on stock wheels. 65psi front and 50 rear unloaded and it ride fantastic and the whole tread is flat on the pavement.

I went woth 35x12.50 BFG's.
The 13.5 would probably have fit, but the 12.5 is plenty for me.

I dont tow super heavy, so the 12ply wouldn't really even be utilized. Heaviest is about 8500# of hay bales, maybe once every quarter.

Bfgs don't belong on a 1 ton. They wear very quickly. Hopefully you'll have better luck out of them than everyone else does though.

Good thing we get 60k+ miles on the bfg's we put on two of our one ton plow trucks!

I second that. Have never had anything but awesome performance and wear on BFG all terrains load E's. Love those tires. long life and great grip, had them for a lot of miles on a couple trucks. On the contrary, I hated my NITTO mud grapplers on my OBS.

I wouldn't put a mud grappler on a heavy duty pickup for on the road either.. pretty much a great tire for lighter vehicles and off-road use though.

I mis-spoke there. I had Trail grapplers 10 ply Load E's. Not the mud grapplers... They are similar to the BFG mud terrains. Hated them.

I agree 100% I've never had any luck with thise tires. They are pretty but that's it, half ton truck tire for sure.

I'm in the never had bad luck with BFG ATs camp. Had one set 60,000 miles that still have fairly good tread, but are in the neighborhood of 15 years old (truck never gets driven...anyone want a 77 Chevy?) the other set made it to 40,000 before they started throwing big chunks of rubber due to being 5 years old and sitting for a month at a time. Age got them both long before tread wear and handled loads well.

The bfg a/t lasts much longer than the bfg m/t on a 3/4 or 1 ton truck from my experience. But for the price of both and not the greatest tires I've ran, I steer clear of them. I'd put them on a jeep or a 1/2 ton any day, just not my 350.

No doubt you're paying for the name. Completely agree there are much better options, especially for the price.

I just got the Nitto Ridge Grappler 35/13.50 but they are mounted on 20x10 wheels. According to Nitto's website they are just slightly wider than the Nitto MT 12.50s I had on there previously. So far liking them a lot better than the MTs..

Can you put some pictures up please and one with a picture of a tape measure across the tread to see how wide they really are. I am thinking about buying these but can't seem to find anyone with them. I don't want them looking stretched on a 12 wide.

Sure thing man but I'll get one with a tape measure tomorrow in the daylight. Don't mind the dirty truck! Wheels are 20x10 -19mm offset.
