4r100 Ari torque converter

Have the modded 6.0 converters dropped in price? Last time I checked they were around $1K which is far from just a little more than $350. If they were even $500-600 that would be a good deal as they seem to hold well up to 500 HP which its really tq we are talking about so close to 1000 ftlb. That is still approaching 2x the cost of an ARI.
