get a ford EPC solenoid and put it in the direct slot.

You can modify the solenoid to make it fit, but doesn't Doug adjust something in the solenoid as well? Why put the solenoid in if its not going to do the job correctly..oke:

he uses epc sols.

Well. Looks like I'll be doing a full build trans shifted hard into 5th last night and the direct drive clutches are definetly shot. Trans temp was almost in the yellow last night and I barely made it home..I'll be pulling trans today.
