aight guys thanks, i figured it pretty much had to come from the stem but wasnt sure.

Those stems aren't very expensive. Follow it down to where the base of the oil filter sits and you will see it held down by a small t-27 bolt. After removing the bolt twist the stem counter clockwise and pull strait up. The new stem should come with a new seal for the bottom of it and also a new bolt in one package.
