Its been a while since Ive posted on here. A little while ago I decided to go off on my own and open a shop so that has been taking up most of my time. With the shop going Ive been needing something to take the abuse of hauling trucks all the time other than the fummins. One of the dealerships I work with had this truck they picked up at an auction that they didnt want to mess with fixing so I was able to get it for a good deal.

The truck is an 05 6.0 F350 CCLB Lariat Dually 4x4. 196k on it and pretty clean for the most part. The truck fires up and runs smooth. Only issue is fuel in the coolant from a cracked head or cup. The truck was delivered to me last weekend and I pulled the cab off and got to work. Here is the build list, Im just shooting for a good solid tow rig that will pull whatever I need. Im sure there will be more to come but this will get it going for now. And yes I do fully intend on keeping a 6.0 in this one this time.

Engine:
New set of heads
EGR ******
New oil cooler
Updated stand pipes and dummy plugs
Powermax turbo
175/35 injectors from Powerstroke Enginuities
ARP studs
OEM headgaskets
Regulated return from Powerstroke Enginuities
Still undecided on intake
5" MBRP exhaust
Metal cold side IC pipe
Eventually build a new fuel system with fuel lab components
SCT 7015 with ******** tuning

Suspension:
2" leveling kit
3.5" PMF suspension rear blocks with airbag tangs
Fox 2.0 shocks
Mastercraft MXT 33x11.50 tires
Firestone airbags with onboard compressor and in cab gauge and switch

Truck came equipped with B&W hitch, and itll get the usual smoked lights, PTM bumper, Harley grille, etc.

Ive kinda missed having a 6.0 so itll be fun to have one again.

Good looking truck man! Id recommend the kc stage 2 ober the powermax though. The stage 2 is an awesome turbo, and ive heard the powermax doesnt flow as well.

Yeah I figured the powermax would be good for heavy towing plus I traded some parts I had laying around the shop for it so I dont have much in it anyways

Just FYI. Our KC stage 2 turbo blows away the pmax in every way. Not sure why anyone would say the pmax is better for towing?

Our KC stage 2 spools faster, runs cooler, and flows more air. I have had many pmax customers switch and they all say the same thing.

Like I said I got this almost new powermax for almost nothing so I figured I might as well run it for now. Ive heard nothing but good things about your turbos and I would be more than happy to switch out the powermax and try one of your stage 2s in the future

Awesome looking build, I'll be following. Really enjoyed the fummins you did.

Thanks! The fummins is still a never ending project but its nice to have a little different project to work on and give me a break from the fummins

Yea, I'm soon to be on that list. 1800° isn't ok from this powermax.

Good looking rig I like those tires. I been debating on lift or putting a new leveling kit on my truck this just helped me haha like the way it sits.

Great looking truck Matt.

Thanks Tom!

Thanks! I love this height, its perfect for towing too. I would like some different wheels though

I forgot to update this thread. I have about 4k miles on it now. I had an issue with an IPR sticking and an alternator go bad but other than that its been great. I love the way this truck tows. Nice and smooth with plenty of power. I do need a bigger HPOP though. On my tow tune it maintains ICP just fine but on the bigger tunes it cant hold over 1900psi at more than 3/4 throttle.

Anyways here are some pics

You're a little on the heavy side in terms of fuel arent you?

We have 190s on a truck with one and rcd tunes...in the lighter tunes it runs great. And cool but when you dump too much fuel at it, like sledpulling it'll hit 1700.

175/75s…I'd say a little heavy but still. I don't see people running bigger bodied injectors with this setup and actually utilizing all of the fuel potential. I can't believe people running 205s on a stock/03 charger and actually running the piss out of the truck. I'll hit 1100° getting on the interstate
