This thread made me google the weight of a ccsb lb7.. Google says 62-6400? Is that for real?

That's what you get when you buy a toy truck. I had an LMM for several years....was never impressed at all with it.

there's nothing to a Dmax. you can see why they weigh so little when you crawl around under one. they're great for the drag strip

the first time I saw an LML bedside without any sort of pinch rail at the bottom of the sheet metal, I just SMDH. You can just grab the bottom of the bed side and bend it back and forth with zero effort.

great for the drag strip, junk IRL

Somewhere down in Texas..
I had a buddy with a ccsb 07 duramax, 2 wheel drive. Upgraded turbo, and bolt ons, with Lee Allgood's tuning, that truck ran 12.80's. Stock transmission too. It weighed like 6400lbs. He didn't believe that fords were that much heavier until I showed him a scale ticket showing my rclb 2wd 7.3 truck weighed 6300lbs. My 02 ccsb 4x4 weighed 7800lbs. For something FUN on the streets, as much as it hurts to say...a rclb 2wd duramax with a trans, and turbo/fuel upgrades is hard to beat.

Hell, my old rcsb 03 silverado with the v8 and tow package weighed 4300lbs. It's no wonder you see all of those trucks getting 6.0 ls swaps, with cam/heads etc done to them. Those little lightweight trucks run waaaay too good for what they are. The only thing ford has done right in the power/weight department is the '11-'14 mustang gt's. My car is like 3800 with me in it, and 420hp STOCK. the same generation camaros, with more hp stock, are like 4300lbs...and slower.

His truck is an LLY .. I am curious what adjustments you are referring to?

Haha yep, my fat ass ford weighs 9400 with a slip tank full of diesel and toolbox in the back. She's gets herself around but she's a pig with anything hooked behind...

Well you let him play where he has his strong points. Now play where your truck likes to run. ... hooked to a sled! I bet it's a different story.

Must be a 05 then maybe a late 04 who knows. I'm sure Mike or Morgan have many things that can get you to 600 pretty quick. A stock 15 pump should get you there because we are doing 640 with a 366 and 15 pump but I'm not familiar with your setup. Plenty of threads on here with that.

most ccsb 4x4 dmax are over 7k with any additions to it. i think bare bones it can be 6800 , but most ive seen seem to be in the 7200 lb range . typically about 500lbs or more lighter than the fords. AFAIK ram's aren't much different from the gm's .

Have you seen any post 08 CC/SBs 4x4 weigh in at under 8K?

many , many of them. mine was 7720 with traction bars .

That's pretty crazy. I've never seen one under 8K at any of the pulls. My 08 just weighed in at 8200 with the tailgate off and fuel light on. It's usually closer to 8400.

I've never had my 00 under 8K either but it has a lift and other weight add ons.

when we all started drag racing them back in 09 , most of us were under 8k with driver unless it has a bunch of bolt on stuff in or on it . i know corsili is 7600 , i remember jeff dodd was 7600 , rudy was 7800 . remember big/heavy wheel and tire combos can add as much as 300lbs alone. we were all running 32-33" toyo or nitto 420's .when i went sled pulling with heavy ass wheels and nitto terra grapplers, i had to remove the tailgate to make weight ( i had the man step and it weighed 100lbs ).
