Has anyone swapped one in a 6.0 just curious if it's possible or if anyone has info on doing it
I think a well built 4r100 would be way more beneficial and much cheaper. The 4r100 has a lot of history and has proven to be a stout unit.
The amount of patents used in the control architecture in the 6r140 boggles the mind..... Only Ford can control it...
Would it be easier to put an Allison behind a 6.0
Why the allison over a 5r?

6 gears, same reason for the 6r
So all that extra effort and money when a well built 5r will do everything minus one more gear the allison will?
