So I'm looking at a older 99 powerstroke with 138,000 miles on the truck with a 6 inch rough country lift and 4 inch exhaust from turbo black but all stock otherwise. One issue is the cab corners rusting out due to it being from Indiana. The seller is asking 15500 is the truck worth this amount?

In my area, I would say no if it is rusting. It probably has worse rust in other areas if the cab corners are showing.

okay well I went onto nada guides which is what most dealerships use to price trade ins and it showed it valued at 11250 as a clean trade in. and I sent the guy a screen shot of it and I told him with the rims and tires plus the lift ill do 13700 but he vouched that its worth at least 1500

I don't know what wheels and tires it has on it but Ruff Country is about the worst lift you can get. If it has body rust it books at rough at best not clean trade in. It better have a brand new set of American Forces in 22x12 with some 37" Toyo MT's to try to get that much of a bump in price. I am guessing not though with that cheap lift on it.

Yea, id pass on that. You can get a clean 05 6l for that much. Saw a ccsb "bulletproofed" for that and an eclb lariat with lift and tires.

For 15 grand, that truck better be rust free original southern metal or if its up north, completely redone. My truck has been in Il and its a 00. I need new metal. This will be the third paintjob.

Keep shopping or offer 8 grand lol

Wow 15 grand? Thats actually ridiculous. Please don't pay prices like that as it only makes other idiots think they have gold in their 15 year old diesel. Seriously its worth 8 maybe 10 TOPS, more like 8 if rust is coming through. I bought mine for 7 with 11k in receipts from the last 8 months and at the time it had zero rust coming through.

okay thanks you all I found a better truck anyway. A 99 ford f250 super duty XLT 4dr 4wd crew cab LB with 133000 miles for 10g rust free all stocked besides rims and tires and adult driven. But been used to haul a horse trailer.
