7.3 Hesitating while driving,. Need Help.

Have a 99 with a fresh rebuild with about 1,000 miles on it. it just started cutting out/hesitating while driving down the road and the it runs fine. Seems to do it in all RPM ranges. I also just installed a new FASS pump so i know its getting plenty of fuel.
Any ideas or things i could try would be really appreciated. THanks

CPS is what that sounds like. That is typical behavior. With a fresh build maybe the end play in the cam gear was not checked or it could just have been a bad CPS

Just because it is new, does not mean it can't be the FASS pump though. If the CPS does not fix it, leave the new one on there and keep the old one in the glove box, along with a 10mm wrench and a flat head scredriver. And then put a temp fuel pressure gauge on it. You can put a fitting on the fuel bowl, run a long enough hose to the gauge to where you can strap it to your driver side mirror and watch it. I am betting on the CPS though, make sure you get it from Ford, the parts store ones are famous for being bad out of the box.
