depending on the turbo and its setup. mine does perfectly fine with the 350s. yeah it can get hot but at this point when is your eye not fixed on the gauges all the time! mine lights super fast now and its very responsive. Then again my oil setup made it as responsive and snappy as it is now. im not sure how a big single oil pump handles.

bringing this back since im looking into a 71mm turbo. i know the s471 is a good tough turbo but what about a 4202 or any other options out there? iv even considered an s475 but dont know if thats too big for my 250/200s

I'll post up vids and datalogs of the GTX4294R w/Garrett 1.15 just as soon as I'm back together too...05-07 front end swap...and I found I popped one of the pita freeze plugs on the back of the block when adding coolant the other day :(

I would be in for some info on people running gtx4202? Im torn between the gtx 4294 and the gtx 4202. Not necessarily going to be towing much but more a street truck

Bring back this thread. Trying to decide on what turbo would work for my setup. A lot of people use the S468, but not seeing a big difference with the HX55 I had. The GTX are good but expensive, just do a S471 I wonder

turbo ?

Running 300/200's, 71/76/19 HX50 and Swamps tuning. Dave has the tow file nailed down. Pulled the 12k 5th wheel home from Seattle via the Coquihalla pass (4000ft, 8-10% grades) and had a tough time breaking 1200 with one stage of water running. Smoke was minimal. If my wife could back the trailer up without ***ing chit up I would have no issues letting her drive it...

I that my old turbo? I just never had big enough sticks to light it towing... ie160/30s at 6500' EL

It is your old turbo. Modded it to 71mm right after I bought it. 300/200's have no problems lighting it....
