99' bed vs 08' bed sizes

Is there a difference in measurements from side bedrails to each other and then from front of bed to the tailgate from a 99' long bed to the 08' long bed? I'm looking at getting a tonneau cover from a friend's 08' super duty long bed to fit on my 99' long bed superb duty that fits on the inside of the bed rails not over top of them so just wondering if it will fit

i would imagine if the tailgates change over so would a cover

Just to reinforce them.
I took a bedcover off my 04 and put it on my 08.
The only problem I had was the tailgate step on the 08 for sealing.
