? About a wire

Found a wire that comes out of the tail light harness near the hitch it's blue with a orange tracer and its stubbed off with a shrink wrap end I also found the same color maybe the other end of it in the cluster of pass thru wires under steering wheel. My ? Is, is it there for the customer to use.... Can I hook up my work lights to it and the other end to a up fitter ? Has anyone done this I dont wanna run power to it and screw something up, thanks

That might be the wire for the third brake light for anyone who has a cap on their .

The customer wires go into the engine bay from under the steering column. Those do not got to the rear of the truck.

I would get a test light/meter out and see what you find.

Oh yes they do, I had the wire one on my '13 and I have the wire on my '14. On my '13 the cap installer just crimped the wire from the new cap to that wire under the rear of the truck right above the receiver. I installed my cap on my '14 and did the same thing, I however stripped the two wires and soldered them, works great, thanks Ford.
