I finally pulled the oil pan on my truck and found that the tone ring on the crank was very loose. You could turn it back and forth easily. I had a buddy heliarc it back in place while the engine was in the truck. We put the pan back on and filled it with oil. It runs great now. I drove it 7.8 miles and think that I snapped the input shaft to the transmission. I was taking it easy for the first few miles and then couldn't stand it. It smoked the tires in 1st and 2nd and then when it shifted to 3rd POP. I was so excited. The engine still runs great but the truck will not move. This truck hates me.

No, it has Suncoast clutches, a Precision Ind. Torque convertor, a Gogo Diesel direct drive solenoid. It only has around 16,000 miles on it. I pulled it yesterday and it is not the input shaft so it must be the intermediate shaft. I will tear it apart sometime this week.
