I have a 2008 6.4 that I'm thinking may need new valvetrain soon. And beings I live in CA I need to pass emissions testing from time to time. I've been looking at the straub cam beings it appears to get somewhat better fuel mileage, but would consider others. The question is, how will they interact with the factory tuning and emissions equipment?

So nobody has any ideas on how it will affect E gr flow or the D p f ability to burn off?

I'm also interested in what peoples experience has been with aftermarket Cams and just tuning.

the big problem you'll have is those cams are designed to limit air flow into the motor to reduce the egt's and thereby reduce nox emissions. If your test facility can test for nox, you're running a risk of failing with any cam not already proven to pass with flying colors. If NOx is not a concern, then any common, proven regrind that doesn't require piston valve reliefs will work.
