Alarm light?

What the *** is that? There is a button in the back and flickers twice every 3 seconds or so. I was going to push it but don't want the truck to end up not starting due to some stupid theft code.
I had charged the batteries due to them being dead after doing some work to my rig and got a theft code while checking for codes. Put in 2 new batteries and the code is gone but the light is still there.

I bought it new with just the basic alarm from ford.

You think it will affect it by pressing the button? Looks like a reset button but you never know

Looks like the over ride button for the alarm. If I remember correctly, flashing means it is in valet mode. Is the alarm itself functioning properly? Unlocking, locking, arming, disarming?
