Alternator shopping

So looks like my alternator is shot. Started looking around for a new, higher output setup. I checked out DC Power's 185 amp setup but e website says its back ordered for several weeks. Anybody have any other suggestions I should look into? Need to get it back up and running fairly quickly. TIA

Dc makes good alts. Also look up mike singer, and georgia power systems, if theyre still around. I had a 270 amp alternator from g.p.s. and it worked great

The DC one looks nice I just can't wait 2-3 weeks to get one.

Didn't know there was an OE high output version. What's it rated at?

Thats not horrible you know... I mean anything can fail, and hell stock alts really arent too great to bein with, and if you have the need for a h.o. alt, theyre worth it. Before I installed mine, I ate a set of batteries every year

I think it's bad considering the factory alt lasted 5 years and many many more miles. Also the aftermarket alts warranty generally expires in 1 to 2 years and cost twice as much as a factory replacement.
