Those 08 20's have hands down been my favorite ford wheel since forever. I think they look good on a 6.0 too.

I've never seen them on a 6.7 though, makes me think.

So my dad wants to trade my 2016 stock 18s for his 2010 20s. I want to do it but the clear coat on his wheels is a little faded/scuffed. Anyone have experience re-coating them or polishing them?

use rubbing compound or regular polish like you would for body panels. If it is too deep for that, you could strip and polish which looks great but is a pile of work and high maintenance to keep up.

Would it be difficult to re coat them?

They make wheel clear coat in a rattle can. Just as long as you do the proper prep work and spray them evenly, they will look as good as a factory iob.

My truck came with the platinum's. I never could get into them. I tried to get the dealer to swap them with lariat wheels before I bought the truck.

Those platinum wheels are ugly as sin. The 6l 20s are better by far. On a 6.7 i prefer the 6l wheels to the 6.4 20s. The 6.4 20s look good on 6.4s and older trucks but they dont look good at all on 6.7s. Personal preference but id do the 6oh 20s and never look back.

I put 08 20s on my 15 platinum for the winter and they look so much better then the platinum wheels did. The 08 wheels look like they belong there and fit the platinum set up way better. By far my favorite factory wheel. I have them on three different trucks right now. 6.0/6.4/6.7 oddly enough.
Goya any pics of the 6.4 wheels on your platinum?

Yes. I know i know you get a extra strip of leather in the seat bolster. More of the fake wood grain plastic trim yada yada yada. Nothing worth the 8-10 grand price tag. Hell looking back i almost wish i had got a xlt and saved 10 grand. Then i could put a screen that plays dvds in the dash and better leather seat covers. Still have 8 grand left in my pocket

I also would easily be able to dim said in dash infotainment system. And why would i want a heated seat warmer? Ive got remote start and seriously it only really cold like 45days a year. Maybe a cooled steering wheel or better a/c seats...
