Autometer diesel tach

Whats tje best thing to read off of? Have an ati dampner. Does the water pump turn at crank speed? Its got four bolts.

Might want to see if house knows, he had an autometer shift light hooked up in the truck I bought from him and it works great.

opcorn: I'd like to some day hook a shift light up to my obs....... put it up on the dash by the pillar that way I don't have to go back and forth between the tach and the pillar to help keep from breaking things haha.......

I have a shift lite lol on wrong wire so its set at like 10500 to come on at 3500. But i was thinkin about the tach w the pickup probe, 6806 is the number.

Why cant you tap the CPS wire off the PCM? I did for my launcher and I've had no issues
