Axle swap?

I have a 2002 F350 4x4 cab and chassis with 4:10 gears and a wrecked 99 F250 4x4 with 3:73 gears. I want to put the 3:73s in my F350. Would it be easier to swap the whole axle instead of just the gears? Will it work with duals?

The front would change over fine, but the rear is totally different.

Your 2002 f350 is going to have a d60 front axle and the 99 has a d50 front. Your going to have to do a gear swap or change the whole axle. If the cab & chassis is a dually it will have the d80 rear and the 99 will have a 10.5 sterling

also early 99's had the track bar mounted different then late 99's through 02 and how it was after that i dunno

It would be best to just sell the complete single wheel axles and buy the gears you need.
