Haha I just died laughing at this!

Why on earth would I pay more money for the same exaxt part. Correct me if im wrong but its a ****ing bracket with a pulley and an off the shelf pump? What is so expensive about that. Competition is healthy.

Go build one yourself, do not even attempt to contact ANY of us about it, and make it all work. with literally ZERO support whatsoever. without so much as looking at a picture of an existing kit. Then tune it all to work right. Spec your own pulley size for optimal pump RPM. Make all your own lines/brackets and adapters. have fun.

Well this escalated rather quickly lol

You obviously have no clue the time and money that goes into engineering a product that works 100 percent. You have to build that time and cost into the final price of the product so you can keep the lights on. Dealer cost also has to figured into that so they make a decent profit as well. Not everyone has the time or ability to build one off kits in their garage for $500......
But Zane is right most people don't understand what it is like to have a business. A business not out of the farm not a business out of mom and dads shop or the thing that becomes very popular now days is our of your garage. Look everyone in the world deserves the right to make money and work but the kits are not all the same.. and this is a fact !!! It all comes down to installation fitment and most importantly function! Yes they do the same thing in theory but my goal along with others is quality and that unfortunately just cost a lil more to have..

With that being said sure plate and lines and bracket all seem easy but don't even understand what its like to pay other to DRAW an reverse engineer and manufacture then go out and R&D. Everyone out there in our business is out looking to copy and cut each others throats out ...FOR WHAT!? Our industry is not what it once was and guys need to realize why..

Either way kit looks nice not going to knock them for that.

You guys are so sensitive. Question one thing and you all gang up. Manufacturers, dealers, and anyone else in the inner circle. Am I really that wrong for wanting a better price? I'M not saying I won't pay it, I just about bought one last week. But some competition is good. There's what, 2 companies making dual fueler kits right now? And BDs will be different, it won't have the H&S fuel filter kit. Probably other differences as well.

No ones ganging up, the way you made your remark was why people "ganged" up.

And I'm not part of any "inner circle" lol

BD doesn't and wont get involved here helping support their product, and support the forum as a whole. where as h&s guys get down to grass roots support , and will get with you on a weekend if you're having issues . for the support reason alone , i will continue to push those kits .

This is not true. We have a very nice kit but I don't like to toot my own horn ..

Competition is good as well. But cheaper price is not always the best option is all. Just depends on someone's budget and what they expect out of that product for that price .. like snapon vs craftsman. Just my 02

^whs. I can think of 4 company's all of which are vendors here and all 4 are nice kits and are competively priced. Plus the service from these company's are top notch and will offer help on weekends etc. Support will always be a plus in my opinion.

I will definitely give you that one Mike. Service is vary important as well. And I am sure that H&S would be better to deal with than BD if you had a problem

Very valid, haven't bought much but I have appreciated the service I have received when I have bought.

Maybe someone can fill us in on who's got the 4th kit currently? Midwest, H&S, Side Action and???

EDIT: AND I guess who knows maybe BD will come in at the same price as these other kits. in that case the obvious choice is with one of the vendors here.

Speed, quality and price. Pick any two because you cannot have all three. I am content supporting someone that will support me when I need it and with my luck, that day will come sooner than later.

What area are you in? I would LOVE to come buy up some of those cheap fords...

I know you have a dealership, but he's spot on as a consumer. I can put myself into a ford cheaper then I can dodge or gm. I'm talking about reasonable prices, excluding those that think their trucks are gold regardless of brand.

Not anywhere in the markets I watch and we watch a lot of the markets on the east coast.

New dodges sell for around 45k and I'm seeing used 100k mile fords bring 37-40k.

Exact same on the half ton market we see as well.

I wasn't being a smart azz, if there are "cheap" fords 14 back 150 or 250s I'm interested.

an additional belt driven high pressure fuel pump mounted to the front of the engine to provide enough rail pressure/volume to support increased pulswidth or larger injector nozzles.

2nd high pressure fuel pump added to increase fuel volume past what the factory fuel pump can supply.

The second fuel pump.....would it be belt driven or electric?
