howdy, I'm about to tune my 2008 job 1 power stroke, I have the Spartan tuner. I'm just curious as to which tune would be less.....destructive to my sensitive early build date (01/07) but still net me the most power and better km/100L. EGR system is all deleted (no limits cold side kit) , as is the dpf (flo-pro 5" turbo back), Volant CAI, and dieselsite intercooler boots. thanks!

So no to the 275 and 300 tunes? What's the deal with the spartan tcm for the early build 08's? Can't I just go swap a junkyard 2010 tcm into my truck?

Well I don't have head studs or a built transmission. I don't want anything to explode in the near future. I'm looking to basically run maybe 2-3 1/4 mile passes with it just to see what it can do then baby it as best I can

Our 210 is a great tune for someone who likes a smooth, clean, and reliable tune with some get up and go still present.

275 tune all day everyday , 80k + miles on her with no problems . Towing a bit also here and there. Just got to have a brain and keep an eye on the gauges .

I got 15k after tuned out of mine paying with all the tunes before the head gaskets let go. The job 1 trucks have the worst head gaskets. If you want it to last I would say max 250, 275 driven easy or the 210 and don't worry about it. The 2009-2010 have much better luck so don't really left those trucks sway your thoughts.

Just remember your nearly doubling the trucks factory HP when you toss around words like 275 and 300 tunes. If you want to just have a good safe running truck, do all the airflow mods you can and run a 210 or maybe 250 tune and enjoy it! After I had a $15,000 debacle with mine it never came off the IDP street tune but was plenty fast enough for every day driving, even a CCLB on 37s

I ran 210 for a year now I run the 310 just wish the shift was a little smoother. By far I like the 310 just let my right foot be reliable but the 210 is I think the highest reliable hp level.
