Broke Valve

Truck has 117,000 miles and got a full rebuild 10,000 ago with pistons, studs, Elite lifters and stage 1 RDP push rods and valve springs. Never been hard on it but was playing with a LML on the way home when it started missing and rolling white smoke. Pulled valve cover and found broke valve. I got very lucky it broke up top. Has anybody ever seen anything like this?

Wow that valve hit the piston hard. Any other mods?

I'd pull that piston and rod and check to see if the rod is bent. I've seen broken valves before.

You got lucky the valve stayed together.. The first motor in my rcsb 6.4 dropped a valve.. Piston looked like a war zone

Nope everything else is stock it just my work truck. Got a Elite 72mm going in when I put it back together.
