Videos................... I'm liking the sound of a 4R, especially since my locally built 5R is currently taking a dive on me. May need to look into what all is involved with a 4R swap.

So what's all entailed with the 4r swap? Need the gas version correct?

From what I gather there is a mod motor 4R100 case needed, all but 2 bolt holes line up and you will need a PCS or equivalent type of stand alone computer. There is more to it than that but thats the little bit of it that I know.

Gas version of the 4r (modular case), the pcs and a little bit of wiring...its worth it...really worth it

So are the guts the same or no and you just need the case ?

Guts are different pretty sure the input shaft is the same...

It was cheaper for me to buy the fully built bts trans with converter and pcs than buy a comparable 5r

Gottcha, I may start gathering parts for this. Already have the PCS so really just need to figure out the need trans parts.

Yeah I have to do something soon, this "built" 5R that I have has never been right from day one and is about to give up the ghost. Gets worse every day and I take it easy on it 7 out of 10 times LoL. I just need to gather a parts list, may attempt to build one myself.

Todays the first day after the fueling issues I've gotten to put some miles on it...I couldn't be happier I love this set up...single 80 is not bad at all...really happy with the whole set up

I've put 200 miles on it so far today to get a good impression
